Chattogram, April 9 -- old girl was killed after being 'raped' in Chandanaish upazila of Chattogram early Wednesday.

The deceased was identified as Arzu Akter, of Kanchannagar area of the same upazila.

She went to her grandfather's house (maternal) to enjoy Eid holiday in Dakshin Gachhbaria Nayapara area

Police and locals said Nazim, paternal cousin of the victim's mother, went to the same house on Tuesday evening and he raped the girl around 3:30am.

As the victim's grandparents Abdul Hakim and Farida Aktar saw the matter, Nazim stabbed them with a sharp weapon, leaving them critically injured.

They were sent to Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
