, May 20 -- A total of 162 candidates who were previously dropped from the 43rd Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) recruitment due to negative intelligence reports have now been appointed to various cadres following reconsideration of their applications.

The Ministry of Public Administration issued the recruitment order on Tuesday, directing the newly appointed officers to join their assigned cadre-controlling ministries or offices by June 1.

If no further instructions are provided by the respective ministries, they must report for duty on that date. Failure to join by the deadline will be considered a refusal to accept the appointment, and the recruitment order will be deemed void, it said.
