, Feb. 22 -- School Bangla Olympiad was inaugurated on Saturday with huge participation from English medium and English version schools.

This year's olympiad was organised with the participation of more than one and a half thousand students from 80 schools across the country at the premises of International Hope School (IHSB) in Dhaka's Uttara.

In the day-long programme, the contestants participated in various age-based categories in essay writing, recitation, dance, singing, drawing, quizzes and public speaking.
