, April 10 -- Thirteen Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinees failed to appear in the public exam that began on Thursday as the school authorities failed to provide them with admit cards in Ukhiya upazila of Cox's Bazar.

The 13 students, including 10 girls, from Haldia Palong Ideal School at Nil Bania in the upazila threatened to commit suicide.

The victims said they went to the school to collect their admit cards but the headmaster of the school failed to provide.

Hearing it, all of the them broke down in tears and threatened to commit suicide if they are not allowed to sit for the exam later, said witnesses.
