Dhaka, Nov. 10 -- The government has withdrawn 12 deputy commissioners (DCs) from different districts and posted them to various ministries, divisions and departments.

The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification in this regard on Sunday.

Of the 12, ten DCs were still serving in their districts despite having been promoted to the rank of joint secretary.

According to the notification, Jhenaidah DC Mohammad Abdul Awal has been transferred to the Ministry of Shipping, Panchagarh DC Md Sabet Ali to the Ministry of Agriculture, Chandpur DC Mohammad Mohsin Uddin to the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Manikganj DC Monowar Hossain Molla to the Department of Posts and Telecommunications, Kishoreganj DC Fauzia Khan to t...
