, May 13 -- A suspected leader of an outlawed was stabbed and shot dead at Koladi Bijoyrampur in Sadar upazila of Pabna district early Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as Babul Sheikh alias Laga, 40, son of Hossain Sheikh of Koladi Bijoyrampur.

Police said a group of miscreants intercepted Babul and stabbed him indiscriminately and shot him while he was returning home around 12 am, leaving Babul dead.

Babul was wanted in different cases.
