Bangladesh, Sept. 25 -- Rahima Begum, 52, of Khulna's Daulatpur, who has been missing since August 27, has been found alive in Faridpur, police claim.

Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) found her alive in Faridpur's Boalmari at around 10:45pm Saturday, KMP Deputy Commissioner (North) Molla Jahangir Hossain told UNB.

The development comes after Rahima's daughter Moriom Mannan, whose campaign to find her mother for almost a month touched the nation, suspected that the body of an unidentified woman buried in Mymensingh recently was her mother's.

Moriom described the harrowing journey of her search for her mother in Facebook posts that reached thousands of people over the last couple of weeks.
