Sangsad Bhaban, Feb. 14 -- Former Planning Minister and Awami League MP Abdul Mannan on Wednesday said there is no division between development and democracy and through voting people have proved that they want both.

"This unnecessary debate (development or democracy) is over," he said while participating in the discussion of the thanksgiving motion on the President's speech in Parliament.

He claimed that a faction had started an unnecessary debate on development and democracy.

"There is no division between these two. They tried to do it, the people of Bangladesh have proved that they want both by voting Awami League," he said.
