, Nov. 26 -- inspector (SI) and 221 sergeant candidates, who were allegedly deprived of recruitment in 2007, on Wednesday urged the Chief Adviser to approve their appointments without further delay.
At a press conference at the Jatiya Press Club, the candidates demanded immediate approval of a summary sent to the Chief Adviser's Office regarding their reinstatement.
Mohammad Jahangir Alam read out a written statement on behalf of the candidates.
SM Sujon Chowdhury, Shahedul Alam Dipu, Abdul Malek, Omar Faruk and more than a hundred other candidates attended the briefing.
