Indian Travellers Gain UPI Payment Access In Sri Lanka And Mauritius
India, Feb. 12 -- Indian tourists visiting Sri Lanka and Mauritius can now conveniently make payments using Unified Payments Interface (UPI) services.
India's UPI services were officially launched in Sri Lanka and Mauritius on February 12, 2024, during a virtual event attended by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Mauritian Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth, and Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.
