India, May 1 -- Homebound stargazers and night owls are in for a treat the upcoming week as the Eta Aquarids meteor shower is here to light up your nights. The annual meteor shower is set to peak this year on May 5. By Manya Saini

Every spring, the Eta Aquarids meteor shower, a remanent of the famed Halley's comet enchants stargazers with as many as 60 meteors per hour in perfect conditions. The 'shooting stars' will be visible through the week and will reach their peak on the night of May 5 through the early morning of May 6.

Travelling at a speed of almost 66 km/s into the Earth's atmosphere, the meteors leave glowing 'trains' which are visible for a range of several seconds to minutes in the night sky. The outbreak of the coronavirus...
