Bengaluru, May 8 -- The Pahalgam attack, one of the most devastating terrorist incidents in India since the 2008 Mumbai attacks, took place on April 22, 2025, in Baisaran Valley near Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Armed with rifles, five terrorists infiltrated the remote high tourist area accessible only on foot or horseback.
