Bengaluru, Feb. 6 -- The Sensex was down 64 points or 0.08 per cent at 83,250.15, while the Nifty fell 55.35 points or 0.21 per cent at 25,589.05. The market breadth was sharply negative, indicating that the midcap and smallcap shares are still under pressure despite the upside move in the key benchmark indices. Meanwhile, the Reserve Bank of India's Monetary Policy Committee voted unanimously to hold the key repo rate at 5.25 per cent, as expected.
