India, Feb. 12 -- A shocking murder in a tea plantation in northeastern Bangladesh has sent waves of fear across Moulvibazar district just hours before the country heads to the polls. Authorities recovered the body of a young tea worker with his hands and feet tied, raising serious concerns about safety and law and order on the eve of a crucial national election.

Residents discovered the body early Wednesday morning inside the Champara Tea Garden in Kamalganj upazila, nearly 190 kilometres from Dhaka. They immediately informed police, who reached the scene around 10 am.
