India, March 17 -- By announcing the rules for the Citizenship Amendment Act earlier last week, the Centre has indicated its determination in implementing the law, which many opposition parties have described as discriminatory and against the provisions of the Constitution. The opposition plea is that it is aimed at excluding the Muslims and the announcement has been done with the eye on the 2024 Parliamentary polls.
