Washington, April 17 -- The Trump administration is reportedly planning to cut the budget of the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) by $40 billion, which would be close to a one-third cut in the department's discretionary spending, The Washington Post reported. The news report said that the proposed cuts are included in a plan to redefine how the federal government manages health and social services.
The proposed changes involve not just monetary reductions but a large reorganization of the operations of healthcare-related agencies.
