South Queens, Nov. 3 -- NY: On October 31, 2025, two federal judges-Judge Indira Talwani in Massachusetts and Judge John J. McConnell in Rhode Island-made it clear that the Trump Administration acted unlawfully in withholding emergency food stamp funds during the government shutdown. Their rulings order the Administration to immediately release billions of dollars in contingency reserves to sustain the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), which millions of Americans rely on to feed their families.
