Washington, Sept. 18 -- US President Donald Trump has designated the left-wing, anti-fascist Antifa movement as a terrorist organization, days after the assassination of right-wing political activist Charlie Kirk.

"I am pleased to inform our many USA Patriots that I am designating ANTIFA, A SICK, DANGEROUS, RADICAL LEFT DISASTER, AS A MAJOR TERRORIST ORGANIZATION," Trump, who is on a state visit to the United Kingdom, made the announcement in a social media post on September 18.
