Islamabad, April 16 -- An employee of fast-food chain KFC was killed in an attack carried out by members of the radical Islamist group Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) during an anti-Israel demonstration in Pakistan's Punjab province, police said on April 15. The incident took place in Sheikhupura, some 50 kilometers from the capital Lahore.

According to police, a large group of TLP activists stormed the KFC outlet early on April 16 morning. While vandalizing the restaurant, the attackers opened fire on staff members. One employee, identified as Asif Nawaz and believed to be in his 40s, was fatally shot, while others managed to flee.
