Washington, March 20 -- Seema Nanda, the first Asian as well as first Indian American to become the Democratic National Committee (DNC)'s Chief Executive Officer, felt that her party had the positive solutions for the country and their fight was to "take back our country for working families."

"Solutions forged by the strength of our diversity, the rigor of our ideas, and the decency of our values," added Nanda, a former senior Obama administration official who left her post as executive vice president at 'The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights' to take over as DNC chief last July.

Her office is marked by a high desk. "I like to stand and work," she smiled.
