India, Sept. 23 -- Director Neeraj Ghaywan's 'Homebound', featuring Ishaan Khatter, Vishal Jethwa, and Janhvi Kapoor, has been selected as India's official entry to the Oscars 2026. The film premiered in the Un Certain Regard section at Cannes 2025, where it was met with a nine-minute standing ovation.
At the recently held Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) 2025, it earned the title of second runner-up for the International People's Choice Award and received another standing ovation there.
