CHANDIGARH, April 23 -- BJP has fielded Bollywood star Sunny Deol from Gurdaspur Lok Sabha seat in Punjab.
He earlier joined BJP in Delhi in the presence of Union Ministers Piyush Goyal and Nirmala Sitharaman. He had met BJP president Amit Shah last week.
BJP is contesting three seats in Punjab. It has already fielded Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri from Amritsar seat.
The decision on Hoshiarpur seat is still awaited. Party is in confusion to renominate sitting MP and Union Minister Vijay Sampla.
Gurdaspur seat was fell vacant last year after the death of three time MP Vinod Khanna. BJP had lost the seat in byeelection and PPCC president Sunil Jakhar defeated BJP's Swaran Salaria.
Sunny Deol will face Sunil Jakhar in direct contest....
