LUDHIANA, March 8 -- TO check the disposal of solid waste into the Buddha Dariya (Nullah), iron mesh (chain link fencing) would be installed on both sides of the Nullah.
Punjab Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu informed that the tenders for this Rs 13.42 crore project have already been floated and this project would be carried out by funds being provided by the Ludhiana Smart City Ltd.
In a press statement issued here, Ashu stated that a total of 28 kilometres (14 km on each side) of chain link fencing of 10 feet height would be installed on both sides of the Buddha Dariya within municipal limits.
