CHANDIGARH, March 2 -- HARYANA Chief Minister, Manohar Lal on Monday announced special 'girdawari' of Rabi crops affected due to heavy rains and hailstorms recently, so that the assessment of crop loss would be done and the farmers can get compensation for their damaged crops soon.
The Chief Minister, who is also the Leader of the House, made this announcement, during the ongoing budget session in Haryana Vidhan Sabha, here today.
When some members in the House expressed concern over the loss of crops due to unseasonal rains and hailstorms, the Chief Minister made the House aware that the government was already concerned about this and special Girdawari is being done.
