MANDI, March 3 -- THE Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Mandi, and organization of Enabling Women of Kamand (EWOK) have signed a memorandum of agreement (MoA) with National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) to set up a farmer producer organization (FPOs) in Mandi district.
This MoA was signed by Dr Venkata Krishnan, Dean, Sponsored Research and Industrial Consultancy (SRIC), IIT Mandi, Sandhya Menon, Secretary, EWOK Society; and Nilay Kapoor, Chief General Manager, NABARD.
Explaining about this collaboration, Dr Venkata Krishna said, "Through this collaboration, the local women group would be enabled to connect and help the community at large in Himachal Pradesh".
