SHIMLA, Oct. 31 -- THE High Court of Himachal Pradesh has issued notice to the Chief Secretary, the Principal Secretary (Social Justice and Empowerment), HP, the Deputy Commissioner, Shimla, and the Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Shimla, on the issue of lack of playgrounds in Shimla city.

A Division Bench comprising Justice Dharam Chand Chaudhary and Justice Jyotsna Rewal Dua passed the orders on a petition taken up suo motu by the court as public interest litigation (PIL) on a letter written to the Chief Justice by children of Main Nabha Estate, Shimla, a renowned government colony.
