LUDHIANA, Jan. 13 -- A one-month training programme on "Mushroom Cultivation," organized by the Directorate of Extension Education, concluded at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU). A total of 20 farmers and farm women attended the training programme, which was conducted under the aegis of Bhartiya Krishi Anusandhan Kendra.

Dr TS Riar, Associate Director (Skill Development), said the training programme was of 200 hours and covered all aspects of mushroom cultivation right from growing till processing.

The trainees also visited Bharitya Krishi Mushroom Anusandhan Kendra at Solan, Himachal Pradesh, he informed.

At the concluding function, Dr Shammi Kapoor, Dean, College of Basic Sciences and Humanities, was the chief guest.
