LUCKNOW, April 23 -- AMID sporadic incidents of clashes and allegations of irregularities, 60.52 percent of the total 1.78 crore voters exercised their franchise at ten Lok Sabha seats in the third phase of polls in Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday.

Though the UP Chief Electoral Officer Venkateshwar claimed that the polling was peaceful in third phase polling and reports of minor clashes were reported from Moradabad, Sambhal and Badaun. Besides, SP candidates from Badaun and Rampur alleged malpractices by the ruling party candidates in nexus with the authorities. Amid reports of money distribution to the voters, vehicle of BJP candidate and daughter of Yogi Minister Sangh Mitra Maurya from Badaun was also stoned.
