NEW DELHI, Jan. 15 -- ANAND Vihar, Bijwasan and Chandigarh railway stations will be made world class. The Railway Ministry has asked for RFP (Request For Proposal) for all the three stations under the Station Redevelopment Project with a view to making all the three stations modern and world class. Through the tender process, railways have invited applications from private players.

According to sources, these three stations will be modernized through private investment of about Rs 1000-1100 crore.

According to railway sources, the first phase of the tender process released for all three stations has been completed, whereas on January 10, RFPs have been invited from the selected private players under the second phase.
