PATIALA, June 21 -- A two-day training programme was conducted by the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology of the Government Medical College, with a view to reduce maternal mortality.
Twenty staff nurses and 20 post-graduate students participated.
Dr KK Aggarwal, Principal of the Government Medical College, stressed upon labour room quality improvement and respectful maternity care.
He said the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare had recently announced the launch of programme 'LaQshya', aimed at improving quality of care in labour room and maternity Operation Theatre.
