India, July 21 -- Vice President of India Jagdeep Dhankhar resigned from his post on Monday, citing health concerns and the need to follow medical advice. The resignation, effective immediately, was submitted to the President under Article 67(a) of the Constitution.

In a letter addressed to President Droupadi Murmu, Dhankhar stated, "To prioritise health care and abide by medical advice, I hereby resign as the Vice President of India, effective immediately."
