India, Aug. 12 -- Two Jammu and Kashmir Police Sub-Inspectors were killed, while another was injured in a road accident in the Nowgam area of Srinagar during the intervening night of August 10-11, officials said on Monday.
Officials said the trio was travelling in a speeding KIA vehicle (JK21H-1919) from Srinagar to Jammu after completing their Amarnath Yatra duty.
They said at Tengen Bypass, near Nowgam, the driver lost control over his vehicle and the car hit a road divider, leaving them seriously wounded. "They were rushed to hospital, where doctors declared two of them as brought dead, while the third is undergoing treatment," officials added.
