Jammu Tawi, June 15 -- Jammu and Kashmir Police have cracked the recent chain snatching case in Durga Nagar, recovering a gold chain worth lakhs and arresting two accused involved in the crime.
The incident took place on June 4 when two helmet-wearing men on a scooty snatched a gold chain from a woman waiting near a school bus stop.
The accused brandished a sharp-edged weapon to threaten the victim before fleeing. To avoid detection, they had removed the scooty's number plate. The vehicle was later found abandoned in Janipur.
Following the incident, SP Rural Jammu Brijesh Sharma formed a dedicated investigation team under the supervision of SDPO Domana, SHO Domana, and In-Charge Police Post Chinore.
