India, Jan. 10 -- Security forces in Jammu and Kashmir have intensified vigilance along the International Border (IB) and the Line of Control (LoC) following multiple incidents raising concerns over cross-border smuggling.
The move, the officials said, aims to strengthen border security and prevent any attempts at infiltration or ceasefire violations during the holiday season.
Key frontier zones, including north Kashmir's Gurez, Uri, Karnah, and Tangdhar sectors, as well as critical areas in the Jammu region, are under intensified monitoring.
Along the IB, BSF personnel are carrying out continuous patrolling, digital surveillance, and other precautionary measures.
