Jammu, April 12 -- US diplomat Antony Blinken urges de-escalation as Iran-Israel tensions simmer

Escalating strains between Iran and Israel could destabilize the entire Middle East region. In an effort to prevent further conflict, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken placed important calls to some key allies over the past day.

According to reports, Blinken spoke with senior foreign ministers from Turkey, China and Saudi Arabia about the need for all sides to promote stability.
