Srinagar, June 18 -- While the weatherman here has predicted rains and thunderstorms for the next one week, the maximum temperature has risen across Kashmir while it continued to settle below normal in Jammu on Tuesday.
Jammu division, however, continued to record below normal temperatures, with the winter capital of the region recording a maximum temperature of 35.5 degrees Celsius.
Banihal recorded 28.2 degrees Celsius, Batote 27.1 degrees Celsius, Katra 31.8 degrees Celsius and Bhaderwah 27.2 degrees Celsius.
Details revealed that Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, along with other parts of the valley, once again witnessed above normal temperature with mercury settling at 30.5 degrees Celsius in the city on Tuesday.
