India, Nov. 26 -- Cold conditions tightened their grip on Kashmir on Wednesday as Srinagar logged the coldest night of the season at minus 3.9 degrees Celsius, officials said. According to the local meteorological department, the temperature was 4 degrees below normal for this time of year.

Konibal in south Kashmir's Pulwama district emerged as the coldest location in the Valley, recording a minimum of minus 5.5 degrees Celsius. Pahalgam registered a low of minus 4.6 degrees Celsius, while Gulmarg settled at a minimum temperature of zero degrees Celsius, officials added.
