Jammu Tawi, Feb. 21 -- A 24-year-old specially-abled man was charred to death in a fire incident that broke out overnight in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said on Friday.
They said the blaze erupted around 4 am in a single-story house in Binner Batpora, trapping the victim, identified as Zubair Ahmad. The flames spread rapidly, preventing family members from rescuing him.
The deceased's body has been shifted to Government Medical College Baramulla for medico-legal formalities.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.
