Jammu Tawi, March 23 -- The Speaker of Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly on Saturday announced formation of a House committee to probe into irregularities in implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) in the Union Territory.
The Speaker announced formation of the House committee after Minister for Public Health & Forests, Environment Javed Rana replied to discussion on grants of departments headed by him.
"During discussion, members from both Treasury Benches as well as Opposition wanted formation of a House Committee to investigate into the matter. I don't think the minister should have any reservation to formation of the Committee. If the House wants a probe into it, it should be done," he said, adding that the House is supreme.
