Jammu Tawi, Feb. 10 -- National Conference (NC) leader and MLA Kangan Mian Mehar Ali today blamed CEO Sonamarg for delay in identifying land and establishing Fire & Emergency Service unit at famous tourist destination Sonamarg.

The MLA Kangan expressed these remarks during his visit to Sonamarg market where dozens of shops and other commercial establishments turned into ashes in a devastating fire which broke out on Saturday evening.

"This incident shouldn't have happened. The devastation occurred due to absence of fire tenders," MLA Kangan Mian Mehar Ali said.

He said establishment of Fire & Emergency Service unit at the destination was utmost demand of the local traders but their plea was not heard by authorities sincerely.
