JAMMU TAWI, April 15 -- An Army personnel was injured during a brief exchange of gunfire between terrorists and security forces in the Lasana village of Surankote in Poonch district, Jammu and Kashmir, on Monday night, the Army said on Tuesday.

The encounter occurred during a joint search operation by the Army and local police after receiving intelligence inputs about terrorist presence in the area. The injured soldier is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital, officials confirmed.
