SRINAGAR, April 21 -- J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Monday said the situation due to the massive landslides and flash floods triggered by a cloudburst in Jammu's Ramban district is really bad especially around the national highway.
At least three persons were killed and several homes, vehicles and sections of the Jammu Srinagar national highway turned into a pile of rubble due to the flash floods.
"Reports coming from Ramban suggest that the situation is really bad in some areas, especially around the highway (Jammu-Srinagar highway)," Abdullah told reporters in Srinagar.
He assured that efforts are being made on war footing to restore the highway as soon as possible.
