New Delhi, April 17 -- The Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) has formally requested the Supreme Court to live stream the hearings of petitions challenging the Waqf Amendment Act, 2025.

In a letter addressed to Registrar (Technology) H.S. Jaggi, SCBA Honorary Secretary Vikrant Yadav highlighted the chaotic situation during the hearing held on April 16, stating that the courtroom was so overcrowded that there was no space left to sit or even stand.

According to the letter, the packed environment led to discomfort among several advocates, with many experiencing suffocation and claustrophobia. Alarmingly, two advocates reportedly fainted due to the congestion.
