Jammu Tawi, March 21 -- The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has made significant changes to its leadership structure following its loss in the Delhi Assembly elections last month. Former minister Saurabh Bharadwaj has been appointed as the new president of the Delhi unit, replacing Gopal Rai. Meanwhile, Mehraj Malik has been named the new chief of the party's Jammu and Kashmir unit.
The reshuffle was announced after a meeting of AAP's Political Affairs Committee (PAC) at the residence of party supremo Arvind Kejriwal. As part of the organizational changes, Rai will now take charge of the Gujarat unit, where the party is aiming to expand its presence. Sisodia will oversee the Punjab unit, the only state where AAP is currently in power.
