Srinagar, April 5 -- The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs informed the Lok Sabha that 288 smart city projects have been completed in Jammu and Kashmir, while 23 projects are still ongoing.

The data was presented by Minister of State, Tokhan Sahu in response to a question regarding the Smart Cities Mission (SCM).

According to the ministry, Srinagar and Jammu were selected under the SCM. As of March 4, 2025, Jammu has completed 118 out of 127 projects, utilizing Rs 2,779 crore, while 9 projects worth Rs 190 crore remain under implementation.

In Srinagar, 147 projects have been completed out of 161, with an expenditure of Rs 3,387 crore, leaving 14 projects worth Rs 240 crore ongoing.
