India, Feb. 7 -- The Jammu and Kashmir government on Saturday said it has disbursed over Rs 1,534 crore to displaced persons from Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) and Chhamb.

The government said it is strengthening disaster management and rehabilitation systems to minimise loss of life, infrastructure, livelihoods, and environmental assets, alongside addressing the socio-economic needs of internally displaced persons.

"Early warning messages are being disseminated through the Common Alerting Protocol (CAP) across media platforms, a system that was successfully used during the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra in 2025," according to an official document accessed by the news agency.
