New Delhi, June 2 -- Rajit Gupta from the IIT Delhi zone secured the top rank in the prestigious JEE Advanced 2024, according to results released on Monday. He scored an impressive 332 out of 360 marks to clinch the top spot in the Common Rank List (CRL).

The examination, held on May 18, saw participation from 1,80,422 candidates who appeared for both Paper 1 and Paper 2. Of them, 54,378 students qualified for admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), officials said.

Among the qualified candidates, 9,404 are female. Devdutta Majhi from the IIT Kharagpur zone emerged as the top-ranked female candidate, securing CRL 16 with a score of 312 out of 360 marks.
