Jammu, April 16 -- Jammu and Kashmir Police in the Nowabad area have solved a purse snatching case within ten days by arresting two accused and recovering gold and silver items worth Rs 6 lakh.

Giving details, a senior police officer said, "The incident was reported on April 6 when a man from Tali Morh, New Plot, informed that his wife was waiting for a bus in the Jewel area. Two unidentified youths approached her from behind and fled after snatching her purse."

He said police teams were immediately constituted to trace the culprits using both technical and human intelligence. "After developing leads, a raid was conducted at a suspected location and two suspects were detained. During sustained questioning, they confessed to the crime," ...
