Jammu Tawi, Feb. 14 -- In an intelligence-led operation, Punjab Police busted a racket of criminals smuggling drugs from Pakistan by apprehending a smuggler and recovered 30 Kg heroin costing Rs 210 crore along with a car in Amritsar district, a top officer said on Friday.
Punjab Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav said on X that drones were used to transport drugs from Pakistan. The value of the consignment of heroin in international market is Rs 210 crore.
DGP Yadav said the arrested accused was involved in large-scale heroin smuggling, and it was reported that he had recently received a large consignment of heroin smuggled via drone across the border.
