Srinagar, Sept. 8 -- Former chief minister and People's Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti today said that her party will approach Police to seek registration of an FIR against J&K Waqf Board chairperson Darakhshan Andrabi, accusing her of "deliberately hurting the religious sentiments of Muslims."
She alleged that the party was not allowed to register an FIR against the Waqf Board chairperson at Nigeen Police Station and would now again approach police.
"I urge the police to initiate an FIR immediately given the gravity of the offence deliberately hurting the religious sentiments of Muslims thereby provoking them," Mehbooba said in a post on X.
